Hi, I'm Dr. Timothy Rayner, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in downtown San Diego. My office is in the MetroWork building at 1350 Columbia Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101, conveniently located just off of Interstate 5.

Timothy H. Rayner, M.D. is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in private practice in downtown San Diego. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatric training at Naval Medical Center San Diego and his psychoanalytic training at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (SDPSI). He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Psychoanalytic Association. He is on the faculty of Naval Medical Center San Diego and SDPSI. He is also on the Board of Directors for SDPSI and the Education Committee as co-chair of the Candidate Progressions Committee. Dr. Rayner provides psychoanalysis, psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment for a variety of problems, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and ADHD. He uses a collaborative approach in therapy, in which patients learn to identify dysfunctional patterns and replace them with more effective strategies.
